Sprinkleista Bakery is owned and operated by Sarah Rhoades. Sarah has always had a strong interest in baking from the very beginning. When she was in high school she took her first cake decorating class and immediately fell in love. She was about 15 at the time and she knew as she made her first buttercream rose that this is what she was meant to do and someday she would open her own bakery.
Sarah graduated from Schenectady County Community College in 2008 with a baking concentrated degree, eager to start her career as a professional baker and cake decorator. For 8 years Sarah worked in various bakeries, took high level decorating and baking classes, and attended trade shows to learn as much as possible about the baking and cake decorating world. She continued making cakes on the side for friends and family and honed her skills. Until finally she was ready to open Sprinkleista Bakery, a dream that had been in the making for 12 years. Sprinkleista opened its doors in Schenectady on March 6th 2015.
